This is a pencil sketch of a wonderful depth composition. Using varying techniques to express shadow, depth, texture, and light and dark effect. Using pattern in the repetition of the arches in the foreground, together with the arches under the bridge to the left of the drawing. Delicate line work is used together with controlled tonally shaded areas to create depth.
I chose a thin matt silver frame for this drawing, so as not to detract from the beauty of the compositional expression depicted.
